Adam Porkolab is a Hungarian author of speculative fiction and horror. In civilian life, he works as a software developer and holds a PhD in linguistics.
This duality defines his writing: a fascination with technology, the logic of code, and the deep structures of language permeates his dark, often analytically intense narratives.
His work explores the friction between system and freedom, the blurred lines between body and machine, and the architecture of memory, faith, and protocol.
He currently lives in Pécs, Hungary, with his wife and son.
PREVIOUS WORK
Before transitioning to the international market, Adam established a presence in his native Hungary. Under the pen name Andrew Pierce Ashfield, he published short fiction in various anthologies, focusing on weird fiction and horror.
